What stands out the most in the video is that Optimus doesn’t need sight to move. According to Milan Kovac, Vice President of Engineering for the Optimus project, this robot does not rely on visual data to analyze its surroundings. Instead, it depends entirely on its internal balance system. This means that Optimus can autonomously adjust and navigate complex terrain without assistance from visual sensors. To emphasize this, Milan Kovac shared that he himself had slipped on the same slope that the robot easily navigated.
