A Memorable Reunion

This photo not only captures the reunion of the actors after two years since season 4 but also confirms that most of the beloved characters will return, including: Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Finn Wolfhard (Mike), Noah Schnapp (Will), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas), Priah Ferguson (Erica), Natalia Dyer (Nancy), Charlie Heaton (Jonathan), Maya Hawke (Robin), Joe Keery (Steve), David Harbour (Hopper), Winona Ryder (Joyce), and Brett Gelman (Murray).

However, the photo does not include Joseph Quinn (Eddie Munson), one of the most popular characters from season 4. Joseph Quinn will not return for the new season as his character sacrificed himself in the previous season to protect his friends.

A Message from the Producers

In a letter to fans in February 2022, producers Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer revealed that season 5 would be the final installment of “Stranger Things.” They stated: “Seven years ago, we planned out the complete journey of Stranger Things. At that time, we estimated the story would span 4 to 5 seasons, and now we are moving towards the conclusion as expected.”

Fans Reflect on the End

Many fans feel a sense of nostalgia as they prepare to say goodbye to “Stranger Things” after years of engagement. However, most agree that concluding the series with season 5 makes sense for the storyline, especially as the main cast has matured and is no longer suitable for teenage roles.

Delayed Production Schedule

Netflix started filming season 5 later than planned due to the impact of the Hollywood strike. According to The Hollywood Reporter, given the busy schedules of the young cast and the complex visual effects required in post-production, the series may not be ready to air until late 2025 or even early 2026.
