Latto Fuels Ice Spice Feud on New Album ‘Sugar Honey Iced Tea’
Latto has reignited her ongoing feud with Ice Spice with some pointed lyrics on her new album, Sugar Honey Iced Tea. The album, includes the track “S/O to Me,” where Latto appears to take shots at Ice Spice with some personal bars.
The Diss in the Lyrics
In the first verse, Latto raps: “Bye sis, funny thing about it, you can’t look me in my eye, sis,”
This line plays on Ice Spice’s real name, Isis, hinting at tension between the two.
Later in the second verse, Latto continues: “Shoutout to myself / Who the hardest out? Bitch, it’s Latto by herself / Ice is just water when it melts / Wipe you down, I got plenty towels on the shelf.”
Here, Latto not only dismisses Ice Spice’s presence but also uses wordplay to downplay her rival, comparing Ice Spice to water that “melts” and implying that she’s easy to “wipe away.”
The Response and Mixed Messages
Despite the obvious jabs at Ice Spice, Latto has been sending mixed signals regarding the beef. In a Billboard interview, she made it clear that she wasn’t interested in engaging in a full-blown rap battle with Ice Spice. When asked about a potential feud, Latto responded:
“If I was to do [a battle], it would have to be with somebody I feel like I’m gonna go tit for tat with. I really don’t mean it as shade. Would she even want to do that? I feel like she’s doing her in her lane. It’s two different types of vibes.”
Latto expressed that she respects different styles of rap and music, acknowledging that both she and Ice Spice operate in different lanes within the genre.
Ice Spice’s Response to Latto
Earlier this year, Ice Spice responded to Latto on her track “Think U The Shit (Fart)”, where she rapped: “I got my foot on they necks, I can’t let up / She all on the floor, told her get up.”

In turn, Latto retaliated on her song “Sunday Service,” where she rapped: “Think I’m the shit, bitch, I know it, ho / Jesus walked on water, I got ice boilin’ though.”
