Kanye West Shares Cryptic Audio Message on Social Media
In classic Kanye West fashion, the enigmatic rapper, producer, and fashion designer has once again left the world guessing. Early Saturday morning, December 28, Kanye dropped a bizarre audio message on his Instagram story, adding yet another chapter to his ever-evolving saga of controversy and intrigue
The Cryptic Instagram Story
In the early hours of Saturday, December 28, Kanye West posted an enigmatic audio clip on his Instagram story. The recording, seemingly in West’s own voice, captured him saying:
“Come on, man. You know that st was cleaned up. You know that st was scrubbed. That s**t was washed.”
The Grammy-winning rapper and fashion mogul provided no further context, leaving fans to interpret the message for themselves. The puzzling voice note quickly became a topic of speculation, fueling curiosity about its meaning.
Controversy Over Alleged Nazi Symbols
The voice message isn’t the only thing sparking discussions about Kanye West this holiday season. West recently came under fire for allegations of incorporating hidden Nazi symbols into his latest Yeezy fashion collection, which debuted on Thursday, December 26.
The collection, featuring an array of T-shirts, hoodies, and jackets priced at $20 per piece, included designs that many believe bore a striking resemblance to the Wolfsangel, a symbol historically associated with Nazi Germany. The Wolfsangel was prominently used by SS units during World War II and has since become a symbol adopted by neo-Nazi groups.
Critics swiftly took to social media to condemn the alleged imagery.
- “Another Nazi symbol? I’m absolutely done,” one user commented.
- “This is the most overtly fascist Yeezy release ever, and people are still ignoring it!” said another.
Even a fan account, @yedefender, voiced concerns, posting:
“I’m deactivating this page or finding a new admin. KANYE IS PLAYING WITH YOU TO REPRESENT HIS FASCIST BELIEFS.”
Neither Kanye West nor representatives of Yeezy have addressed these accusations or provided any clarification regarding the designs.
A Troubled History with Controversial Imagery
This isn’t the first time West has been criticized for controversial choices involving Nazi-related symbols. Earlier this year, he sparked outrage by wearing a shirt featuring Varg Vikernes, the infamous Norwegian death-metal musician behind Burzum.
Vikernes is a convicted neo-Nazi sympathizer who, in 2014, was found guilty of “inciting racial hatred” and supporting neo-Nazi terrorist attacks, including those by Anders Behring Breivik. These actions, Vikernes claimed, were part of a “Jewish conspiracy.”
