Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt Invited to Reunite On-Screen with a Bold Offer
Hollywood producer Danny Rossner is making waves with his ambitious plan to reunite Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt on the big screen. Rossner, known for his work on over 150 films, has reportedly offered the ex-couple a “blank check” to star in The Hotel Martinez, allowing them to name their price to participate.
A Story Worthy of Hollywood
The Hotel Martinez is set in France and delves into the gripping true story of Emmanuel Martinez (1882–1973), the founder of the iconic Hôtel Martinez in Cannes. The film will explore Martinez’s legal battle over the hotel, his contributions to the French Resistance during World War II, and his romantic relationship with Emma Digard.
Rossner envisions Jolie and Pitt in the lead roles, portraying Martinez and Digard. He believes their star power and undeniable chemistry would elevate the project, stating, “No one can demonstrate screen dominance and passion better than Jolie and Pitt.”
A Chance for Reconciliation
In an interview with The Mirror, Rossner emphasized that reuniting the former couple on-screen could symbolize healing and reconciliation. “I kindly suggested they put their differences aside and take the lead roles. This would show the world that they can rebuild their relationship, move beyond their troubled past, and work together again—for peace, love, and art,” Rossner explained.
To make the deal even sweeter, Rossner assured that money would not be an obstacle. He revealed that investors have given the green light to a unique compensation structure, offering the actors a blank check to determine their own salaries. While Rossner mentioned being willing to pay $60 million for their participation, he noted that Pitt could receive up to $37.5 million, and Jolie around $22 million—significantly more than their usual rates.
A Historic Reunion
If Jolie and Pitt accept the offer, The Hotel Martinez would mark their first collaboration since 2015’s By the Sea. The timing is significant, as 2025 will also mark the 20th anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Smith, the film where the two first met and sparked their real-life romance.
Rossner hopes to begin filming in late spring 2025, with plans for a massive media campaign and a press conference at the Cannes Film Festival. However, he acknowledges the challenges of bringing the two stars together, citing their ongoing legal disputes as a potential roadblock.
The Challenges of Collaboration
Jolie and Pitt’s public split in 2016 has been marked by a series of legal battles, including disputes over child custody and ownership of their French estate, Château Miraval. These tensions have made it difficult for the two to even be in the same space, as evidenced by the Venice Film Festival’s decision to schedule their films on different days to avoid a potential encounter.
Despite these obstacles, Rossner remains optimistic, believing that the project’s unique premise and the potential for artistic and personal growth could lead to a breakthrough. “Miracles can happen,” he said, expressing hope that the two would consider setting aside their differences for the sake of the film and its message.
Jolie and Pitt’s Legacy
Angelina Jolie, 49, and Brad Pitt, 61, are two of Hollywood’s most celebrated stars. Jolie, an Oscar and three-time Golden Globe winner, first appeared on screen in Lookin’ to Get Out (1982) alongside her father, Jon Voight. Over the years, she has built an impressive career both on and off the screen, advocating for humanitarian causes worldwide.
Brad Pitt, a powerhouse in the industry for over three decades, has garnered numerous accolades, including an Oscar, Golden Globe, and BAFTA. His films have collectively grossed over $5 billion globally, solidifying his status as one of Hollywood’s most bankable actors.
The two first crossed paths on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith in 2005, igniting a romance that captivated the public. They married in 2014 and shared six children—three biological and three adopted—before their divorce in 2016.
Will They Say Yes?
As the buzz around The Hotel Martinez continues to grow, fans and industry insiders alike are eager to see whether Jolie and Pitt will accept Rossner’s bold invitation. While the odds of their reunion remain uncertain, the prospect of seeing the iconic duo back on screen has already generated significant excitement.
With its compelling story, high-profile cast, and potential for bridging divides, The Hotel Martinez could be the cinematic event of the decade—if Jolie and Pitt are willing to take the leap.
